Pippin Close - August 2010

C R Barnes Limited provided full planning and design services for this rear extension to a modern estate house. We provided detailed Visualisations for the client, gained full planning and building regulations approval. The extension was successfully completed from our detailed engineering drawings.

Cherry Hinton Infants School - July 2010

C R Barnes undertook a full dimensional survey of the school for Cambridgeshire County Council. In addition to providing traditional 2 dimensional survey drawings we have also produced a 3 dimensional model to assist the designers in developing visualisations of the proposed extension works.

Occupation Road - Jan 2010

C R Barnes have completed the structural design for a new 3 storey block of flats in Cambridge, The design was undertaken to allow for the cantilevered nature of the floors at each level. The scheme included pre cast concrete floors and stairs, steel frames and masonry panels with a timber roof structure.

Balancing Barn - Nov 2009

We completed the design of the highly complex steelwork connections for this challenging and prestigious building. Tiverton House - Oct 2009

We completed the structural design for the conversion of an existing timber truss roof into around 50 student accommodation rooms. The structural steelwork comprised some 30 tonnes and was installed in around 4 weeks. This innovative design went a long way towards achieving the successful completion of the project.
